‘I take the time to get to know my clients so the process is tailored to them, their preferences, timeline, communication, level of detail, no two jobs are identical’.

The Process.
Designing your garden is a process of an initial meeting, concept formulating to final detailing. Some clients know what they want and just need help making it all come together, others require ideas brought to them but know how they want it to feel. It doesn’t matter what stage you are at, all great designs start with an initial design consultation.
The initial design consultation at your property determines how you want the garden to feel in the end, who will be using it and how they will use it. Carmel develops out your own ideas and helps you find the way to get your dream garden within your budget. She asks questions, listens and helps you to determine what will work in your space and make your garden feel like an extension of your home.
Every outdoor space has different requirements, however, every space designed by Carmel will have structure, texture, layers and a bit of you. Coupled with an expertly curated planting plan and detailed hardscape materials selected specifically for you, she will design your dream garden.
The plan is drawn in a 3D or 2D CAD program to enable accurate determining of retaining walls, steps etc but it also enables you to get a feel for how the garden will feel once completed.
After the initial consultation, we can meet over Zoom or in person. At each stage the plans are sent to you in PDF format and we review them together. Changes are made until you are happy with the design.
