Queenslander Renovation

A beautifully renovated original Queenslander home in Nundah needed the garden to compliment it. With an existing tired central path to the pool and cabana as a focal point, this garden had good structure to work with. The overgrown gardens were removed to make way for the creation of some intimate spaces to be enjoyed by the whole family. The central path was raised to accommodate the tree roots that were disrupting it, re-laid on concrete with stone tiling. The original brick edging was kept as the link to the existing inlaid prick on the patio and steps. The planting plan utilised plants that were hiding in the old overgrown garden as well as some new features like the Teddy Bear Magnolia and the Liriope Emerald Cascade lining the path. The Sioux Crepe Myrtle, Evergreen Hydrangea, Pink Malay, Mona Lavender and Agapanthus next to the lower patio created the floral garden the owner desired, without much maintenance.
